THE CENTRAL QUESTION

What must happen
before the result can
happen?

A missed target shows the result, not the cause. The constraint may be the required outcome, new-business Activity, productive Capacity, Capability, or management Control.

MDSS helps managers make those conditions visible, investigate the right gap, repair the right system, and restore control.

It is a management framework—not CRM software, a closing trick, or a guarantee of revenue.

ASSESSMENT THEN REPAIR

Five Gaps identify where investigation begins. Seven Systems define what management must build.

Million Dollar Sales System moves from assessment to repair to control, so leaders do not confuse a missed result with the cause behind it.

FIVE MDSS DIAGNOSTIC GAPS

Outcome Gap

The required commercial result is not defined clearly enough to manage: result, period, scope, ownership where relevant, and the evidence or counting rule that establishes achievement.

Activity Gap

Required new-business Activity has not been properly calculated, assigned, produced, or sustained.

Capacity Gap

The organization does not have enough productive sales capacity to execute the required new-business workload at the approved operating standard.

Capability Gap

Sufficient people and Activity are available, but the people responsible for execution cannot yet perform the required work effectively enough.

Control Gap

Management cannot reliably run the chain from Requirement to Follow-Through.

REPAIR THROUGH SEVEN SYSTEMS

0 1

Outcome Engineering

Defines the required commercial result precisely enough for management to work backward from it: value or result, period, relevant business condition, and evidence that qualifies as achievement.

0 2

Activity Mathematics

Converts the Required Outcome into stage-specific requirements using defensible assumptions and consistent periods and units, including prospecting, appointments where applicable, Meetings, follow-up, and related commercial work required to produce new business.

0 3

Capacity Architecture

Determines whether sufficient productive selling capacity exists to carry the workload: enough productive people and available selling time to execute the requirement.

0 4

People Development

Builds capability through activation, field development, coaching, skill improvement, and restoration of underperforming people where realistic. Leaders must demonstrate the capability to continuously develop people who report to them directly or indirectly.

0 5

Performance Visibility

Makes material Activity, productive capacity, stage movement, Financial Commitments, Sales, Production, and variance visible to the responsible manager, reducing the time between operating problem and management awareness.

0 6

Corrective Management

Converts visible variance into matched action. Correction begins with diagnosis; different shortfalls require different corrections.

0 7

Operating Rhythm

Makes planning, review, coaching, follow-up, diagnosis, correction, and escalation part of normal management work so control operates repeatedly.

One diagnostic gap may require more than one system to repair. The Seven Systems are connected management work, not a one-gap-to-one-system menu.

Meeting = Qualified Sales Conversation. A Qualified Sales Conversation is a commercial discussion with a person who has sufficient ability and authority to buy or materially influence the buying decision, where the company, product, service, or proposed solution is discussed for a commercial purpose and the interaction is recorded through applicable management evidence. It may occur in person, by phone, or by video.

A scheduled appointment that did not occur, casual conversation, internal discussion, or uncompleted interaction is not counted as a Meeting.

CONTROL CHAIN

Requirement → Execution → Evidence → Review → Corrective Action → Follow-Through

Standardize the repeatable. Record the material. Diagnose the variance. Escalate the exceptional. Procedures run through the Seven Systems; they are not an eighth system.

FROM READING TO DOING
